If you get an 05+ tank and seat they will fit but the rear subframe as 00-04 are different from an 05+ with different mounting holes and even slimmer.

I'm nearing my completion of an 00 WR250 with red shrouds, 05+ rear fender and YZ front fender...l'll post pics when it's done.

Not unless you upgrade the tank, shrouds and seat to suit i.e. all 2005+ or nothing.

Tank and seat base is not enough unfortunately but anything is possible except you really need to get a hold of the subframe and start from there....or borrow a friends 08+ WR250/300 and play parts swap for a weekend?
I posted some pics on another thread about using 00-04+ plastics for a 1995+ WR360...again, if l had access to a 05-07 or 08+ plus WR l'd love to do this and physically see of it's possible rather than theorize :)

'05 2T is the same as '00-'04, but unique side panels. I had friends go the other way, for better ergonomics of older style. If you want an updated look, friend with '02 CR250 put white plastic, black seat and red Cemoto graphics on his bike.
If you do the update, you'll need to cut and reweld the mounting lug for fuel tank and play with the radiator height.
Friend who did '10 WR 300 to '02 Plastic, used the same subframe.

Then again maybe not. I've just had a quick look on ebay and there are no tanks or seats 05 - 07

Funny that, i am a welder/fabricator to trade just not too sure about cutting up a bike i spent so much time and effort to build from scratch.
Maybe i'll just have to build a new one.

LoL@Sthorny...then if you can get your hands on the dimensions of the subframe (l'm sure one of the blokes here could give that) from an 05-07 or 08-now, you could fabricate one from aluminium box tube - that's what l'm doing with an 00-04 subframe for my 95 WR360, supply my mate with the aluminium, he'll weld and taper the end, l fit the nutserts myself and all for 2x slabs of beer (case to you yanks)!!

So last night I had both my '09 250 and '00 360 apart.

I compared the subframes and they were pretty much the same? I measured the widths of the mounting tabs, mounting tabs for the seats, distance to the seat pin, widths at various points... all the same.

That pretty much backs up what I'd heard before that I would only need to change the tank and seat? Can anyone confirm its only a little cut and reweld of the tank mount? If so I will buy the parts and post each step as I go

You would need to raise the front mounts for the tank about an inch. The round bumpers look a little smaller too. You would need to weld on a post for the rear of the tank. I'll post some pics and measurements then I get a chance to take them.

The lower rad shrouds are different also, but have the same mounting holes. There would be some pretty large gaps if you kept the old ones.

OK, I can finally get a tank to see if it will fit my frame(wr 2002) but its a 2008 tank does anyone know if it will fit with just bolting it on or do i have to do some fabrication to frame or mounts ?

Excellent...l know l'm asking a bit here but are you able to switch the plastics i.e mount the 09 side plates to the 00 360? Then measure the tank tabs (with the rubber wheels) on both bikes?
