250-500cc Newer Swing arm compatibility 2006 wr250

My 06 wr250 has a lot of hours, and the back end shows it. I need a new swingarm & brake caliper carrier, anyone know what is required to fit a 2012 swingarm on my beast? I see one for sale for less then half of new

I thought they were the same from the past 15 years? Only minor changes if any id have thought

Ya they look the same, the part numbers change in 08, but I'm hopeful it may be as simple as a bearing change or even just a cosmetic thing? Might get brave and just go for it, I have the machining capabilities if needed

Did ya search the forum?

if the shock brand changed then most likely so did the linkage
if thats the case then a little machining might work, or welding and machining

i looked for a bit and couldmmt come up with anything solid.
even newer parts are hard to find for these beasts! looking forward to riding soon tho
