Noisy start up

    630SM now has 250 miles on odo,but is noisy for a few seconds from start up.Dropped it off at the dealers today,mechanic seems to think its the cam chain tensioner.I was loaned their 690SMC demo which is easier to get off and on but no where near as nice to ride.

    that noise if it is kind of a short clatter or rattle is probably the auto decomp device.usually nothing to worry about.it goes away as soon as the rpms get to a cetain level by design.if you turn the idle up a bit high it probably will not be noticed.if your idle is a bit low you will notice it quite a lot.hope that helps.dan

    I notice mine is idling a bit high and has a metallic sound, like a heat shield. anyone else?

    Bike has been returned today ,auto decomp has been replaced job done.
