Hi people. I need a bit of help.
    2009 WR300.
Hooked up some small rear indicators yesterday, Started 2nd kick. 1 blinker not working, so I rectified that, went to kick her over, big cough and wont start now.
Disconnected both rear blinkers, still nothing. Checked plug, fouled. New plug, no start. I left the plug out overnight incase it had a gutful of fuel, still not kicking this morning.
Pulled the carby down, all is good. Checked reeds, fine. Flipped over bike, took out plug and turned the engine. A large amount of brown, oily crap came out. Back together, still nothing. Tried it 3 more times and still getting a bit of crud coming out. Still nothing.
There is a spark at the plug, not a massive one, but it is sparking.
    Any ideas?????
    Cheers

When it coughed could it have popped the crank seals and the oily crud you are seeing is transmission oil? Just a thought.

Gee I hope that isn't the case. The stuff that is coming out isn't as thick as trans oil.
How would I check for the seals?
My other thought was that the woodruf key at the flywheel sheared, causing the timing to go pearshaped. Hence all the crap in the cylinder?
Would the flywheel be loose on the shaft if it has sheared?
Will check them when I get home from work
How would I check for that??
    Thanks

This problem has now been fixed.
******WARNING TO HUSKY 09 WR OWNERS********
The connector for the LH switchblock has space for 3 more wires that are not used. This allows water to enter the connector and corrode the pins, rendering the switch bloke unserviceable. I would advise sealing the wires with silicone. My dealer has now had 3 bikes with this, (including mine)

    Thanks for the help

Thanks for the info. North American Market Husky 2 strokes don't get this switch assembly. They just have a kill switch and a simple enduro light kit, no road stuff.
