I installed my Old Fat Guy Racing Radiator Guards this afternoon. Pretty straightforward, but I thought I'd share some pics. There was MINOR trimming of the plastic stock radiator "roost guard" fins, and minor grinding of one washer per side. Pretty stout once it's all said and done. I'm pleased with the overal product.

    Thanks man.

She's still sitting in the garage patiently awaiting the final parts. :)

I got the G2 inserts installed yesterday, fuel screw, hourmeter & trick uptite carb vent filter. Just waiting on skidplate (hyde) and handguards (cycra crm's).

I'm hoping to take her for a good ride this weekend.

Man you have more patience than me. When I got my 09 TXC 510 delivered to my house at 1:30 or so in the morning I just had to fire it up and cruise down my driveway a few times. Hey please post up your ride impressions Andy.

After a month wait, the Hyde skidplate and front rotor guard just arrived this afternoon. Parts were on back order. You might have to drill out the handle bar ends about an inch when installing the Cycra crm's guards. I had to drill the bar ends on an 09 TE 310. I called Cycra and that's what they recommended.

The Hyde came yesterday. Nice unit, easy install, great fit.

Yeah, to get the G2 inserts in I had to drill out the bars. The machinists handbook called for a 17/32" drill bit. Not having one of those, and not being able to find one at the local TSC, I stepped down a 32'nd to a 1/2" drill bit. it made the threading job a tad tougher, but I just backed the tap out more frequently, cleaned and re-greased. Those G2 inserts are KILLER!
