I have a 310 that has an intermitten problem that's throwing the fail light. hooked it up to ibeat says open in injector circuit as the current fails. my question is, when that fail occurs does it shut off the fuel pump, I noticed that when the fail is on the dash, the fuel pump isn't pumping when I cycle the run/stop switch.
Check your wiring diagram, on my bike, the Green with red stripe wire powers the fuel pump, the fuel injector and the coil.
I worked on a 10TE450 that did that random injector circuit fail- yea the pump would not pump (very brief and intermittent), I cleaned up the connectors to the pump and injector and all was well- someone had filled the plugs with dielectric grease.
