Oopsie, looks like the chain picked something up or came off at some point. Was there a front chain guide under the cover to keep it off the case?

I would leave it if it is not a stressed part and is not leaking. I would put another chain guard on however.

I would bring it back to the guy that sold it to you and get your money back! Every time you pull the clutch it's going to put pressure on that area. The cost to replace the case is $1500-$1800

Could probably be welded up and gusseted for more strength, should the need arise.

Call Bills, http://billshusky.com they may have a salvage part they can hook you up with. If not I would get that thing welded and gusseted soon as you dont want it to pop while riding.

thanks for the replies guys, feeling a little better about it. the guy i bought it from still should have mentioned this. when you say have it repaired, can this be done without disassembling everything, where do you have something like this repaired?

I think your going to have to pull that case off and take it to a welder/machine shop or may a dealer.

Where are you in the US?

Many guys ship stuff to George in ice chests, well sealed with silver tape....engines even.

Don't know if the total repair can be done in the frame...you'd have to check....phone.
