Why is it every where i go i have to see orange .This time it was all day at the beach Yesterday the wife and i go to the beach she says i got you 3 new motorcycle mag to read . Well we get there and get up i sit in my beach chair ready to enjoy the day with my 3 magazines Only to see page after page of ORANGE.Lets see first was Enduro Extream from the UK storie after storie of Orange Then it was Dirt Bike a little better but full of Orange .Then to finish it off i had the new Motorcross Action with a full on storie of the new Orange 250 2 stroke ,which and i quote listed by motorcross Action as the BEST 2 stroke ever made even the best thumper beater with 50 HP .One of the magazines had a full on storie of the history of the Orange 300 saying it is the best all around bike ever and the first 2 stroke with a button So when i got home i went in the garage and told all of my Huskies the CR 125 ,WR250,WR/CR 300 and the TE510 not to worrie i will still only race a Husky With the wave of intrest in the return of the 2 stroke,Husky must have something new on the way
Lets hope so. I'm starting to get the feel that people are kinda swinging back to 2 strokes, and the only one actively developing them right now is KTM. Hopefully Husky has some 2 stroke newness up their sleeve's in the next year or two. Ohh, just read something the other day saying that KTM is now the largest off road motorcycle maker. They sell more offroad bikes than even Honda now
I know what you mean. I quit subscribing to and reading Dirt Rider and others mags, mostly because of the seemingly heavy inbalance of orange bikes on their pages. I had a KTM, and while it was a good bike, I feel that they are so overhyped, it's ridiculous. When I was first considering the purchase of a TE I tried to find some articles on the bikes and I could only find one. It didn't seem to have much information in it, as though the magazine guys didn't spend much time with it. The other reason that I don't read those mags anymore is because they are geared towards the extreme whippersnapper crowd. There's not so much for us older people who don't dream of death defying whips and triples.
You should read the storie about PC Racing and how Mitch got started . It is in this month motocross Action or dirt Bike One of the first thing they say is if Mitch back in the day could make a slow Husky go fast just think what he could do with a Jap bike Then they go on to say he started to work on other bikes and the rest is history
At the end of the day who wants to ride an ORANGE bucket that falls to bits, people seem to buy them because thats all they see in a race line up !!! i call it " SHEEP SYNDROME" ---don't be a sheep buy a HUSKY
Orange seems to be the flavour in this town. we had one guy in our group had one and once he got it he became the biggest pain in the ass. So from that day on I thought I'll never buy one of those things as long as I can get a leg over, I'd rather buy a Honda than one of those things. Kel
Yea, from the orange KTM stryder bike, it is all just tooooo much. Like I said somewhere else. As soon as my youngest son hits around 4 I'm going to use reverse methods on him. On halloween I will put on a KTM jersey and pants (god will I feel like a used and abused W----!) and a scary pumpkin mask and tormet the hec out of him ! He will HATE orange like I do and my 22 year old son He will ride a Husky 50, then a 65 and by god if I live long enough and they get there crap together maybe a Husky 80 ! They make me sick I voice my opinion LOUD whereever I'm. And in my state I think I'm the fasteswt guy on a Husky (always a top 20 overall finish) I LOVE passing that junk on a full tilt, WFO, 96 decibal CR 150 ! I love that engine I think with BMW we will see only better things to come!! But yes PLEASE give us some new 2-strokes before I need open heart surgury again !!! And please mr orange quit boiling antifreeze all over our trails !
I cant believe it I get my favourite bike mag in the mail and guess whats on the cover, the bloody thing are every where. The only thing good in it this month they have a 630 as a project bike Kel
Well, in my riding group just last year we had 3 KTM's,now we are down to one.[200exc] which really is a good bike once we put the engine back in. Now we have 3 honda's, 2 yamaha's, 2 suzuki's & a Kaw along with my one & only Husky. I started the KTM thing back in 2001 & changed in 2005. Good bikes in my opinion but not a Husky.
