Part ID: Aluminum Pipe

    Husqvarna Motorcycle:
    400 CR
    It's a two part pipe with a steel head pipe and aluminum body with an integral removable silencer core. The pipe weighs just 3lb - 12.6oz complete, with the body just over 2lbs. Made to fit early 70’s 250.

    Anyone have any info about aluminum pipes?

    I don't know much about it but if you ever decide to sell it I am looking for a Pipe my my 73 presently under restoration.
    It certainly unique. I have seen one other like it but it was so long ago I can't remember specifics..

    It may have been made for the titanium framed. Profab as I recalled made the titanium frame and likely had an open budget to build the entire bike.
