I just purchased a 2010 510 supermoto that has never been really run before(in the crate)! I have a leo vinci full system and i was wondering would it make more power if i drilled the side covers or would it not be worth it? Also i have a pcv with the auto tune. the pcv was run for a very short time on my 2009 sm510 with out the auto tune with the aftermarket exaust map down loaded by my dealer. my question is can i just hook up the pcv and auto tune to this new bike without remapping anything? Thanks

I forgot to mention in the above post that the race connector has never been installed. in fact the battery has not even been hooked up. Thanks.

For the PCV to work properly with or without AT, you need the race connector installed. Otherwise the ECU will try to adjust the AFR to get 14.7 from the stock O2 sensor. This will defeat changes made by the PCV and possible cause the ECU to think there is a problem.

I would download the the map for the stock 09 510. That should be close enough for auto tune to make corrections for exhaust and other bike variations.

With the power commander software you'll be able to see the values created in the "trim map" by auto tune. You can then "accept" trim map values to be merged with the base map. At that point a trim map will be zero and continue to learn refined values as long as auto is enabled.

How do you like the Leo Vince exhaust? I am anxiously waiting on mine to show up. If you dont mind, start a new thread with pictures of the exhaust and details about performance, especially with the PC V and Autotune.

The leo vinci titanium is a very good exaust system. The fit and finnish is very good! Its not to loud and it took all of 15 minutes to install. You will not be dissapointed. Oh and it turns a cool blue color! I will post pics as soon as the bike is assembled! Thank you seymore for your help. Ron

I too am running the twin Ti/carbon full exhaust system on my 2008 SMR510, and in conjunction with a PCV and Autotune it is superb:thumbsup: The quality like you say is spot on, and it comes with a nice carbon heat shield to boot.
