So Cal Husky Riders! Perris MX is open again tomorrow night for Vet night 4:00 PM till close at 9:00 P.M Sept 8. I'll be out representing again with my Husky and my riding crew. Any of you Husky guys feel like joining the minority and track riding with me? T
mountain bike training.....every mon eve,,,,,ready for the next SRA event,,preparing for the Wickenberg Nat.
Amen brother.....! I have lost 22 lbs since you last saw me. Trying to make it 30 before we meet again! An evening track ride burns about 2700 calories for me.....(Polar heart rate monitor) just part of my workout routine right now...... and I just dusted off the mountain bike....... do I really have to pedal that thing? I figure the only way to keep up to you is to loose more weight and increase the cardio! I don't have the skinny bike like you do! T
that MTB thing,,,I feel the same,,but really need the wind back in sails again,,,my soccer career is over, too many bone pebbles in my joints!!! Good show on the weight drop Marine!!! I need to do about 20 as well ,,still hovering around 215,,,,,195/200 would be "loads" better!! My bike has minimal hours on it she is like new 05 Specialized XC comp,, the guys are about to eviscerate me they have been doin the bike thing for non-stop years!! Gotta keep my head right and go easy,,,,,no need for heart stoppers Enjoy the ride tonight, I will see ya on the 28th. R
Well????????????????ride report????? the guys broke me quickly on the first grind up the canyon,,,,I held my own on all of the DH sections,,,,I forgot how much fun my MTB is/was,,,that thig just whips around corners!!
One Husky again! Track was wet, rutted and beat up.... but fun! Lots of water on the face of the jumps and the downsides made it a little challenging. Rode until 8:;30 when I went down again in my favorite corner... no injuries other than a briused ego as it was right in front of the grandstands... take a bow....... pick up bike, clean mud out of visor, fix damaged clutch perch and ride on...... We had 10 guys out in our group.... about 70 on the track.. at 7:00 p.m. I worked on seat bouncing jumps to some degree of sucess..... I'm getting better at it. We were the last ones and left at lights out at 9:00 P.M. Stopped on the way home for a huge bowl of Tortilla Soup...... Need a new tire still! T
didn't you say you were going Bridgestone?? 403 404 combo will be good on the track. I have a slightly used set , they are yours for 6 newcastle browns and 6 guiness stouts. I can carry them up on the 28th. let me know.
Sounds like we have a deal........ maybe I'll give you my UPS number and have you ship them up to me next week?????? good way to try Bridgestones out....at the Glen and I could mount them right away... didn't you run them at Glen Helen last time? To soft for your normal riding area? Let me know and I'll send you my workaddress for shipping. My front forks are compressing and hitting hard on every double or step up that I am attempting..... granted I screw up a lot of them.... What should I do to try and make it work a little better? . I 'm definietly more aggressive now and I think the bike is feeling it.... I'll give Les a call but want your opinion.... T
that is fine the ups thing, I was looking at personal delivery as means to save cash, but logic says to have them on for the GP.. My issue with the bridges are that the rear digs trenches on loose sandy single track climbs,,,the front climbs out of loose sandy single track berms. On the MX track how-ever this combo will be awesome, many of our crew use this combo including some real fast off road trail riders. On my Husky I prefer the skiiny front tire set up for the tight trails we do, it just has more feel and drops into the berms better (my style) and for our local off road stuff I found the euro fat rears (140/80 size) to work better for me. I ran Michelin S12s last time and will use them this time as well. drop me a line I can send them up. Tires are easy just wrap a label on them and go. R as for the suspension you may need to crank more comp into the forks, after which watch how they pop up in corners and upon landing for a reb adjustment to balance the front end.
send them up being the Bridgestone M403 90/100 21 (wide) M404 110/100-18 T you have the 18 or 19 Rear??? I forgot to ask,,, I have 18s
I've got a new one on order for next week! I actually like my front Maxxis but may give the bridgestone a try! My tire is absolutely thrashed now after an additional month of riding..... I like to get my maximum value out of each and every tire..... now I will kill myselff with a new one on........ T
Tonight, 11.20.08...... See ya there! Oldest guy there, on the only Hoosk, Yoko jersey. Weeeeee! No crashing and no stuffing the old guy!
