I had to remove the fuel tank from my new-to-me 2008 TE-610. Manual tells me to close the two petcocks on each side of the tank and remove the hoses. I turned both petcocks until thay were tight and removed the hoses. Gas came pouring out of both. It appeares that both of them were already closed and when I thought I was closing them, I actually opened them. I'm confused. How did the bike run if both were closed? It ran fine, no problems. :excuseme:

I thought that the gas came out of the fuel pump when I took my tank off. Then I had to plug them.

Alright, chalk this one up to not paying close attention and a goofy set up by Husqvarna. When I was putting the bike back together tonight, I realized that one hose was conected to both petcocks. This was a cross over hose to allow fuel to draw down from both sides of the tank evenly. I guess general riding shook the fuel over to the other side as I never ran out early. Never saw such a set up.
