    Ok tech heads,
Buck up and show your stuff!

What is the best material to fabricate an intake manifold heat insulating spacer?
I am looking at Phenolic type material.

Phenolic works good in that application, if you can get hands on some Bakelite (not old stuff that has been laying around for years) that works pretty well also.

+2 phenolic or micarta would be a good choice. machines well (very dusty though) and less heat transfer.
