Unless they have improved the computer, you might consider a Vapor or Vector.
    Maybe an hour meter
Unless they have improved the headlight, consider something else if you end up riding after dark.
Consider replacing the front axle nut with with the Uptite or the MotoSportz offering. Oh, the 7602 carb filter too is a good idea.
I also had too much trouble with the stock gas cap, but since you're getting an IMS, I assume that comes with one that doesn't leak.
    Frame guards maybe?
    Fork bleeders
Don't try and tighten your rear brake rotor :banghead:

That's all I can think of for now. Enjoy it.

I put a thick paper gasket between the reed-block and engine (some air leaks have been found there).

Radiator guards. I don't normally use them on any other bikes, but the husky rads are very vulnerable.

    Tires that don't suck

I'm going to be needing some tyres soon. What you recommend? Idaho can't be all that different than Colorado? Most places I ride are dry and rocky, with an extra helping of rocks. I do have that trials tyre I've been thinking of trying out...

The stock tires really suck in the rocks. I personally use bridgestone 403/404 for racing and wintertime (rocky and sandy desert riding), and a trials tire in the back for summertime non-racing applications. The bridgestones seem to hold up well for my riding style and get decent grip everywhere.

Bridgstones are excellent as are the Dunlop 51's, but for my money have a look at the Motoz tyres. Best longevity and hook up of all tyres imho. Good luck with your new beast.

Picked it up today, awesome bike . I'll leave the stock tires on for now. My other accessories should be in next week. I don't know on the IMS tank. I bet I will need 2010 plastic soon

Congrats on the bike! I love mine.

Search for an older post by NWetRider and look for his 'list' of things to do before riding it. You and your new bike will be very thankful you took the time

At the very minimum you need to loctite the motor mount bolts, bend the shifter away from the clutch cover and put a buffer between the mudflap and swingarm. Those are mandatory IMO.

I can't believe I still haven't got to take the 300 out. I've done some minor tinkering. I have all the jets from the old days for the Mikuni.

I dad is in for a visit so I need to hang with him as much as I can, my acessories will be in before I have time to take it out

I go out and just stare at it
