I'm relatively new to this site and need some help regarding pipe fitment for my Husky.
I want to replace the stock pipe which is the heavy double layer model and was hoping for better performance. An old article available online suggestes the use of a Dynoport but they are quite expensive new. I'm confiused by the different pipe manufacturers info on pipes for Husky WR/CR 250's. For example, FMF Gnarley model 025010, says it fits model years 2000-2006 and 1993. If this pipe fits a '93 wouldn't it fit a '95? and if it does fit a '95 wouldn't any manufacturers 2000-2006 fit my '95 as well? I guess I need some help with cross referencing fitment for my year. Also please let me know what pipe brands are good non-OEM replacements. I'd like to loose this boat anchor of a stock pipe. Thanks to all for such an informative site.

For what it's worth, I've found the mounting for the pipes haven't changed much over the years. I have a DEP pipe for a 2002 CR 250 on my 2012. At one point I had my '92 360 in that frame, and was able to use the same pipe for the 92 frame on the 2012 frame (the 92 360 flange is different from 93+, but mounting matched the rest of the years).

So, I'd think you would be pretty safe on the expansion chamber itself. That's not to say there might not be front to back movement at the point of the silencer. I use a Leo Vince unit, and it has movable mounts on it, that really helps to get things line up perfectly, I find.

Thanks for your input, it sure helps. I wonder why the aftermarket pipe companies don't market their pipes to a wider range of years considering this could increase sales. Maybe they just aren't aware of the different years they would fit. Or maybe they aren't confident that a pipe that works for certain model years would work on others as well. I ordered a used 2C pipe based on the reviews on this site. It's off an '02 so I'll find out if it fits....and works...

Doubt it. My '94 has a 48. mm OD on the expansion chamber ; my '02 has a 52. mm. OD.

Steadydirt is correct. I ordered a used C2 for a 2002 250 and it does not fit. The flange is too big as mentioned above and the pipe connecting to it is not quite long enough to make it all the way to the exhaust port. Does anyone out there know at what year the port size changed from 48mm to 52mm? My two available options are to return the C2 pipe and possibly get a used Dynoport or cut the flange/pipe section to the second weld on the stock pipe and have it welded on the C2. My concern is that the C2 was designed for a 52mm port and may not perform so well if adapted to a 48mm port. Thanks

Not sure what the problem is but I had a 2C pipe on my 02 CR250 ...It was very thin and light and would not take alot of crashing as it would bend back against the water line on the left side of the bike ...

Does anyone want to sell a 2C pipe or know where I can purchase one from?
