Does anybody manufacture a fitted pipe guard for the 2011 WR300, or am I going to have to use one of those bendy, fits-all Maier style thingies?

There are lots of Universal Pipe Guards out there that would work well. I have one on my WR250. Works fine.

P3 makes one. It takes a while for shipping, but the fit and finish are really nice.

I bought a carbon/plastic pipe guard from mecasystem for my 250. The guard fits the pipe but 2 hose clamps out of the 3 which were bundled with the guard didn't fit :) (1 was too short and 1 too long)

Thanks for all the responses. I really like the looks of the P3, but bought a Maier for now (but I missed the sale:rolleyes:). I haven't installed the guard yet. I'll probably just wait until it's too late and I fall and squash the pipe:censored:, then buy a new pipe and put the guard on then.

I too am looking for pipe protection and a solid skid plate for the 2012 wr 300. Not much aftermarket support for the 2012. Does anyone know if the moose eline carbon fiber pipe guard for the '11 fit on the '12? Mecasystem does not have anything listed for the 300.
I really wanted a Hyde racing combo pipe/ bash plate but nothing made for any WR's since 2009 WTF? Does anyone have some photos of their bash plate and pipe protection?

I purchased the P3 skid plate and pipe guard. Pipe guard fits great, skid plate so-so. Took a long time(10 weeks) to get. Looks very sporty!

So I just got a 300 and need some protection, really want a Hyde or P3, Hyde doesnt make one for the 2012 and p3 you have to wait at least 6'weeks for? Damn that's a long time, can't shelf the bike for 6 weeks. Does any body stock the P3 stuff that can ship in a reasonable amount of time? I hope some here would know

I have a 2011 WR 300. I bought one of the Hyde skid plate/pipe guards for the 2009 model year. it actually fits up pretty good with a little modification. I ended up getting a heat gun and molding it a little bit so the it fit better around the expansion chamber. I've got about 100 hrs on the bike now and so far so good. Its not perfect right out of the box but once again, it was a pretty quick mod and I think it provides about the best protection you can get. They are a real pain when you have to change oil though.
