Piston Pin Spacers

    I can't find the spacers for the piston pin anywhere. Are they optional?

    Not sure what you have, but sounds like a bad idea not to use them. I'm about ready to start putting my '82 XC 250 top end back together. Those spacers are each 2mm thick. The top end bearing will be free to move laterally much further without them. The OD is 27mm and the ID is 18mm. Someone on here probably has some extras or at least a source for some replascements.

    They keep the rod centered and prevent the big end of the rod from contacting the crank counterweights. I coudnt find any for my 74 125 so I had Andy at PVP cycles machine me a couple. http://www.pvpcycles.com/
