Hi, I'm currently going thru the process of updating the plastics, tank and seat for my 96 WR360 to 2000-2004. I am currently stuck on finding a seat to suit. After purchasing a tank and seat from the USA and having it confiscated by customs, (the tank isn't so much of a worry) though the seat is the major worry at the moment. I live in Australia and it seems finding a seat from the 2000-2004 era here in Australia is a mission on its own!
The big question I have is will the seat from either a TE or TC from the same era suit??
Better yet, does someone here know of where one of these seats is for sale for a decent price?
    Thanks in advance.

The360 ended production in 04 that said I've not seen Any newer than 02.
I've a seat base that would do the job but you would have to get foam and cover.
Plus I'm in UK so postage may be a killa.

Yes that's true. I believe the 2000-2004 CR 125/250 and WR125/250 seats fit also, so i have been told.
I've been having a look on the parts fiche, and the part numbers seem to change each year, parts appear the same from what I can see.. also noticed some of the TE/TC used the same seat as the CR and WR.
Really keen to know if these other models fit, I have a 02 WR250 subframe.
I thank you for your offer and I'll certainly keep that in mind, although I'd prefer to purchase a complete seat.

wow customs confiscated it, was it from a know (to customs) drug or gun dealer???
to the seats, pretty much all 2 stroke seats in that era will fit from what I have read over time
the part number difference sometimes can be a very small detail such as a letter or digit that is added, the angle of a symbol etc.
will look forward to your discoveries as I am about to change a 1995 360 to that era

Unfortunately the seller thru eBay thought the same as I, and that the tank would make it thru customs.. just my luck the seat was in the same package, so both have been confiscated. I've spent hours on the phone trying to get the seat back, but it looks like a dead end road to getting it back at this stage.
I know of a couple of TE/TC seats that I may take the gamble with.. they certainly look like they will fit.
Finding 2 stoke seats here in Australia is like find hens teeth, so far.

I shall keep your seat in mind, though finding a seat foam looks like a pretty hard thing to find.

Hi, the 96 seat has a different angle where the front clips onto the 2000+ tank and wider at the rear as the 2000+ seats taper at the rear to match the narrower subframe (around 10mm slimmer).

However, if you strip the 96 seat down it's base and apply heat, you should be able to bend the front to the right angle. The length of the seat is the same so you should have no issues bolting down the rear dzus clip just the front clip. As for the narrower rear, again you could use a jigsaw or dremel to shape the seat. Now add foam and gripper seat cover and away you go.
Not 100% certain but the 125's seatbase may fit the 250/360 bikes.

Hi, I was thinking last night if I could stuff about with the 96 seat to make if fit. I may just do so if I cannot source a newer era seat for the right price.
Thanks for your input, it's much appreciated!
