Doesn't sound much like a victory unless you're like me and live in California. My DMV guy told me about S. Dakota registrations without even having to step foot in the state. Went super easy and cheap.

I wired up a battery, turn signals, brake lights, and converted the system to DC. Went with the Baja Designs Squadron Sport which is plenty bright enough.

Feel like a goon riding it around town, people give me a weird look

Not planning on commuting to work with it but nice to know I can and ride 365 days/year and get gas at a gas station without a pickup! Not bad for a "Red" sticker bike

Thar's cool, but is that "legal" to do that in CA? I know in some of the states I've lived in you couldn't have an out of state plate if you were a resident.

Technically thats correct. Thats why i put it in my dads name in NV. That way im just riding someone elses bike... a buddy of mine that's a cop said im good to go. I probably wouldnt risk it if i was on the road 5 days/wk though

riding dirtbikes on the road is cool(albeit in a bogan/goon kind of way) & good fun!
