I have not been able to find the post fuel pump filter specifications, i.e. 10 micron or?
If anyone can help me out with that I would appreciate the input.
    Thanks, Mike

I think all there is only speculation of the micron rating of the stock filters... I don't think they are ideal for our systems for many reasons. I believe they are 10 micron filters though... 5 micron for EFI is ideal apparently. One thing to remember is there is a very small filter at the inlet of every injector that you really realy don't want to actually have to filter out anything- because that means it will clog quicky, especially if the actual fuel filter is NOT doing its job. The injector filter's can be cleaned through a process- but I wouldn't recomemd it to the average guy.

I am using a cross refferance of the Duralast ff3330DL that OlderHuskyRider has been using. Mine is a puralator. Here's the Fram G3606 specs (same as OHR and my filter) and MAJOR cross refferance guide at the bottom...(pick a brand) http://www.framcatalog.com/PartDetail.aspx?b=F&pn=G3606

Here's some more posts regarding the filters

Thank you very much HUSKYnXJnWI, great information and it helps me out a great deal; the small filters at each injector opening I was not aware of.
I had supspected it should be 10 microns or better since all th references I could find for post pump filters pointed that direction.
Pointing me in the right direction for the purchase was a major bonus...again thank you very much for taking the time to help me out!

to be clear, the injector filters are at the inlet of the injector- they can be replaced but requires a special tool. there are instructions on the web to clean injectors/filters by cleaning them backwards (Spray cleaner/air compressor) and opening the injector (small 9/volt battery). Not that this is necessarily something that is prescribed at this point for bikes- but as EFI gets older I imagine we will be doing this as part of maintenance in time. I think I know of 1 guy on here CH reported to having done this. I don't think dirty injector filters has been found to be a cause to a problem as of yet. But is relevant to bring up when discussing the changing or referencing different part sources for inline filters.

I am going to try to "fix" the extra pump I have in my parts box.

What is the fuel line and clamps I will need to replace the filter and where do I get them?

    Thanks!
