Villopoto sits 7th after the first timed practice session. All the top fast guys are in the 1:48 second range including poto. If watching him here over the years has taught me anything it is that he is a racer not a practice specialist. I can't remember all the times he would be off the pace by a good bit in SX or MX here, but come race time he is a different animal. Should be a fun race to watch! http://racerxonline.com/2015/02/27/ryan-villopoto-eleventh-after-free-practice
Link to qualifying races. Thomas Covington from the US was leading the 250 qualifying race up until lap 11. Husky mounted Tonkov had the fastest lap in the session! http://results.mxgp.com/mxgp/livestandings.aspx
Bummer Poto only managed an 8th place qualifying race. He was pretty far off the pace of Cairoli but this is still just a qualifying race. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. http://results.mxgp.com/mxgp/standings.aspx
My call was Gautier Paulin for the OA......just to mix things up, plus I have always liked this French guy, he always seems to be having mega doses of fun while riding and racing.
While I'm snowed in I caught up on mxgp and am excited to see what VP can do and sick of watching TC win already.
