Since I live and ride here often, a day is something like get up and ride into a specific area or terrain-type of the island, see the people and countryside along the way, do the specific riding, return home safely, and just let it flow into whatever it flows into and watch the show. I'll try the Pulp Fiction approach ... 08 WR250 Husqvarna at Poto swimming hole. Not sure what the cement is for other than holding up the water level for the people upstream ... Down stream view Another day but same bike and location. These kids were there when I arrived and about 10 minutes later another crowd arrived ..
Why Potoland? The guy at the end of the video was standing out on another road by his home and I had to stop when riding by ... I usually stop at the sight of a foreigner here but I've cut back on that lately ... This was a must stop though ... I asked him if he knew who RV2 was and had anyone been saying that name to him... He said nope that he never heard of the guy but would go on-line take a look at the real RV2... I just said don't bother just go look in the mirror and go buy a KAWI cap ... View: https://youtu.be/YRnjNUXYjUg This guy is a RV clone; totally clueless he's a clone ... Weird talking to him because he has little knowledge on any bikes .. Only rode a scooter here and no 450s.. Here's his back yard view ... The swimming hole is just out of sight where the greenery covers the river on the southern end... That big rock upstream can be seen from the pool but you gotta walk down the river to get to it ... If there is a water cobra, it might be back there ... This place is eery once you get to the pool area ... Feels primitive out there .. For me to track these places in any manner, I gotta give them a name I can remember... That's Potos-clones' backyard so its Potoland made up of all the land features.
Here's the ride out to the pool ...Not too gnarly a trail but gnarly enough for me ... View: https://youtu.be/sxsZQYut-1Y -- Here's the ride back out View: https://youtu.be/ChldnPpDddQ
Google earth view of the river ... It's about 3 5 miles and I might go to the other end and ride it back towards Potoland... I'm sure I can't make it but it make for an interesting ride if I can find a couple entry \ exit points .. Rode A to B .... Not very far ... That's the look of a gnarled river bed with lots of lava rock as a base ... Usually hard riding to cover ...
Not sure where you are talking about exactly... These people are pretty bashful and shy with foreigners most of the time (ESP in the country side where we are few) until they get to know ya to some degree ... I'm not in this area often so I'm a stranger pretty much ... Locals will just nod their heads lots of times also instead of waving or just smile; these cams miss alot of that or I'm sped past before they react ... And of course, there are areas where people aren't as nice acting as others ... -- Here's some more pool action with some of the bigger kids arriving ... View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKddqAeDP54 -- I forget what this drink was but it's light and does not give you too bad a feeling the next day ...Maybe brandy? I saw they had a jug of mixer but would not have expected a fifth. You know you've stared at enough rocks when you see a huge snake head, a smaller monkey head, and a fish head out there.. I came home and looked at the pics and told my gf I had discovered some pre-historic stuff ... It looked totally different when I returned the next day .. It was mostly shadows on the rocks. Here's lunch - Fish and rice
