    Quick question;
    2007 wr 250 on the trail today and had the clutch side power valve bolt back out and disconnect inside the cover.
    Any one use loctite on this for re-assembly?
    Never had this happen before in more than 25 years of 2T huskys!
    Thanks in advance.

    Very strange. I wouldn't use anything stronger than "blue" loctite on it, but that shouldn't be a problem.

    Thanks,- running without the PV sure makes them docile!

    Happened to mine before too. Rattled it loose, I guess. I put a little blue loc-tite on mine, and not a problem since. And yes, no powervalve makes them an entirely different bike to ride.

    I did re-assemble it this morning and it came apart right away. Looks like I have to take a look in there and see wtHell.

    That's odd. Only thing I can think of is maybe wasn't tight enough, or the loc tite hadn't set? OR check your little connecting control arm. Mine was actually cracked, so it popped off of the ball real easily. I think this led to the excessive rattling and then the bolt coming off. If the little control arm is cracked, they are super inexpensive. It was a $5 part here, and I got 2. Since it is just plastic, I ride with a spare in my pack, just in case it should happen when I am on the trail.

    I did crack one of those plastic links once before. Not this time.
    This time it looks like bolts on both sides of the PV got loose. Looks like the ignition side actually jammed first making uneven pull on the clutch side governor arm and yanked the linkage apart. I love this bike- and ride it like a 125 -it was on the PV a lot. Showing some damage on the clutch side of the PV where the ratchet arm bolts on as it must have been loose for a while- never looked in there! whoops. Got to check the spares and see if I have another PV.

    Mine is on PV a lot this time of year too with the desert rides I do. So fun! Did the PV threads strip or something? I am going to have to try and remember to keep a watchful eye in there too.

    It damaged the squared up end of the PV on the clutch side where the linkage bolts on.
    Never saw this before but will watch now.

    Going through some old posts to figure out why my bike had no power, had the bike for a year with no powervalve hooked up. Took the case off and found it just dangling . Must be common on these huskys? does it matter what position the gear is in ? or just as long as the two dimples are lined up? ( on the water pump side)
