7-21-13 First time event at a farm near Scranton Pa. Was in hopes of 'some' rain but got none heading up to race day: fairly dusty… It was a 6-7 mile loop and the lap times were right around 15 minutes; 8 lap race. First run since the collar bone break in Ga. earlier in the year. This one was only 2 hours but conditioning level was still a question. The whole crew was along, good time! Signed up for 'A 4-stroke' and would be on line 4 for the start. Running the 2013 TXC250R. Off decent, second to the corner and moved into first by the 4th corner… First lap thru had pulled almost a minute on 2nd place and would extend it to just over 2 minutes by lap 4. He slowed up a little the last couple of laps but maintained first place. After the race he said his arms started locking up and he just sort of ran out of energy the last lap. Will need to increase the conditioning effort, but all in all a very good day… Pass video...he clicked the banner post on the way out, made a pretty loud noise that you can't hear on video...little too close! Machine ran great all day... 1st in class and 17th Overall...link to ECEA results page. Conner, he's got a LONG way to go to even be thinking about that! I would have him running somewhere in the top four in the '4 stroke A lites' if he was still in contention in the GNCC series. And the top dog in the 'A lites" class is kicking butt and when comparing his top dog times...they are usually outside the top 10 of the XC2. Check the overall's on the GNCC site; the XC2 class has some real animals in it! If anything for 2014 it would be a repeat run at the '4 Stroke A Lites' and try to stay upright! After Party Pic...
I know what your saying. My friend runs 4-stroke A lites in the GNCC on a kawi and he is pretty dang fast. I have ridden with 1 XC2 lites guy and he was super fast, he just flowed so well through everything.
