Hey everyone new to the forum i have been a reading alot. Well i need help dont know where else to turn hopefully someone can help me. So i have a 2008 efi husky 610 when the engine is cold it starts up fine and idles a little choppy. When i go to ride it runs for about a minute then breaks up and dies and wont start again till the engine cools down after about 30 mins and then does the same thing. When it first started happening it wasn't that bad it would run rough for about 30 mins then break up and stall out now its unrideable. I spent the whole day trying to fix it and still does the same thing. I changed the gas, water temp sensor, fuel pump and tried tracing some wires to see if there was a short didn't find anything besides a blue wire coming off the battery was worn thru a little but im not to good with electrical stuff. Hopefully one of you can give me some insight would be awesome i like to fix things myself and i need to get back on my husky weathers gettin warm here in new york!
Did you change or do anything with the fuel / air mix . Your bike chews a bit more fuel on warm up and if getting too much fuel may cut out when warm . Also maybe its loosing spark when its hot? Can you get it warm and when it cuts out quickly pull the plug and hold it against the casing and try start it again and see if it is still getting spark .. Can you get it plugged into ibeat ?
Hey thanks for the help. I never messed with the fuel/air mix im not even sure on how to do that? Where is it located on the bike? I will check the spark plug for spark when i get home from work and i dont know about ibeat im going to call my local dealer and see if they have one.
The fuel mix is only via ibeat or dealer equivalent .. If it is starting it is getting spark, but you need to check if it is maintaing spark when its running warm, the coil could be buggered .
