So I live in Canada eh.... and I have been in contact with the dealer I bought my Terra from over multiple issues regarding this bike. I was promised that all the dealers around me would honor the service agreement. I am getting the feeling that I was sold this bike just to get it off the showroom floor to clear them out. I have since lost the rear driving LED light (break light still works) and after some testing find that the problem is inside the light itself. After calling all of the so called "dealers" around me I am told the same answer.... "Husky is in between owners and we have no way of covering warranty issues at this time". Wow how awesome this is.... honesty I'm thinking about just driving it threw the doors at Courtney Motorsports, dumping it in the showroom and demanding my money back. So for all the fellas out there that think they have problems, trust me. If anything goes wrong with mine its going to be a good looking coat rack in my garage! Anyways... I've added some goodies and I thought I would share them with you. 2" Rox Risers, 20W LED High beam offroad lights, Rear custom racking for soft saddle bags, Rear bigger aluminum rack, Lite hand guards, 12V outlet, Rino GPS mount, Booster Plug and Ricoteket Black anodized skid plate
I like the LED lights and mounts you've put on. Very neat. You said you had multiple issues, but the only one that concerns you is a faulty tail light? I understand that Canadia is not a good place to be for Husky owners at the moment. I'm sure some north Americans will respond with some options. Maybe you just need to buy a replacement lamp for the time being and then chase a warranty refund later?
What sucks about the tail light is that it is a sealed unit and LED's cannot be changed out (no "bulbs to replace). If something goes out with the tail light...you have to get an entire new assembly. I doubt they cost all that much though.
Tail light is $64.58, I think that's very reasonable. The LED stuff is very reliable, likely not a concern. Headlight assembly is only $121.98. Touratech headlight guard is $130.00. Not sure how many times people crack a headlight but I'm comfortable buying a new one if it happens.
Husky RyGuy... welcome, If you ever have problems with your TR and just before you turn it into a "Coat Rack" We should talk... I just sold my Trials bike and have a little extra space in my garage. Oh ya and the best place I found for parts (Cuz we can't get any yet) is Hall's
had I not just bought a new Ducati (oh yea, still rebuilding the Norton too!) I probably would have picked up another Terra for my son to ride. These are great bikes and with 3K miles on mine, I'm looking forward to many more!
