It appears husky has superseded the part numbers so the old 610 quick pull axels are no longer available, at least thats what one dealer has found. Anyone know where I could find a set of these quick pull axels that will fit a 630? I'm told the 610 ones fit. Anyone have a set they want to sell me?? I'm headed to Death Valley in two weeks and would loves these if I have to do a tube change in the field.
You could try calling Bill's as well. They have a bunch of stuff they've been parting out on ebay, and more up at the shop.
OK, so here's what I found. ZipTy Racing ( http://www.ziptyracing.com/ ) has quick pull axle inserts that can be purchased for about $22.....but you have to ask for the Husky ones OVER THE PHONE. It's not shown on the website. The catch is they only work for the rear axle. Apparently they don't have the length for the front axle......at least this is the best I could asses from him on the phone. Option two.....Touratech ( http://www.touratech-usa.com/Store/965/Chassis ) sells cool looking anodized ones but are available for 449-511 and another set for 310-510 but they don't know for sure if they fit a 610-630. I ordered one just to try out since they will take a return if it's not right. The ONLY problem with this option......$65 (EACH)
Thanks for the headzup on the Touratech pulls! Enduro Engineering makes a Rear Axle pull that looks like it will work on the 19mm bore of the 630 rear axle, Part # 23-061. They don't make anything close to the 22mm front axle bore on the 630. https://shop.enduroeng.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi Touratech makes them for both the front and rear: http://www.cycoactive.com/Store/2878/PN-410-0170/Front-Axle-Pull-Handle-Husqvarna-TE-250-310-450-510 before: Installed: Rear: http://www.cycoactive.com/Store/2878/PN-410-0173/Rear-Axle-Pull-Handle-Husqvarna-TE-250-310-450-510
You're welcome, Ken. The rear axle pull on your bike was what got me started on the quest. Thanks for the measurements. I've got your kickstand fitted up (with a little filing). Will post pics when my rear wheel returns from Woody's
I just loosen the axle nut and bump it with the heal of my hand until the other side sticks out and pull the axle out with my fingers. I do smear a little grease on it when I put it back though. The front axle can be tight if the fork tubes aren't even.
Hey all , I am after some axle pullers , from above it suggests 19&22mm . Can anyone suggest some alternatives to the pricey touratech ?
