So is it just me, or is the stock speedo completely useless? it only shows a display when the engine is running, which seems completely useless to me. can it take a battery or something so it works like every other cheap speedo/odo unit in the world? or should i just get a cheap trailtech, and call it good?

also, on radiator guards.... i never use them, and never have had a problem, but initial testing and observation makes it seem as tho the rads on these bikes are a bit more vulnerable, and if you take the bike on the rockiest trail you can find, and slip on damp rocks and fall over, it's easy to bend the tabs that the shrouds screw to. I couldn't find my model on motosportz' website.... they must have radguards for the 2009 wr300 tho, right?

Anyone have any issues with overheating due to the restricted airflow? I know that's a common problem on ktm 300's, but haven't heard much about it on huskys.

    thanks.

I have the Motosportz guards on my 09 and they fit perfect. I've also never had an issue with overheating even in mid 90's temps on 1st gear trails.

    The cooling system works good!

    Mark,

Our guards fit the WR300, same as the others. Very strong. I did not even both installing the stock computer as I like the info and functionality of the trailtech units.

Going to do any of the 6 or 12 hours team races at eddieville this year?

I'd like to do one of the team events out there, but we've been doing a lot of traveling to race lately. Just got back from our 3rd trip to socal this winter.

i'll get some rad guards ordered today.
