Nice clean fit, but pricey, especially for US with postage. But Considering it's function, most likely worth every cent!
The radiator guard is on a Terra. The link I posted states that it fits both Strada and Terra. Spacers came with the radiator guard.
The R&G Racing guard from the UK fits on a Terra fine. Did not have to install any extra spacers and 1/2 the price.
Been on the R&G site and it offers no product for the Terra but we know most of it fits. Do not see the rad guard fitting with out moving the rear part of the front fender down but it would have to be paper thin to get in between my fender and rad
I think the OP was mentioning that the spacers are included to lower the rear of the fender if you needed it.
Here's some shots of radguard.com.au fitted to My Terra. With the spacers provided clearance with the mudguard is spot on.
Well the rad guard from R&G arrived and first thing that was wrong the top brackets were the wrong pitch , which meant bending in the brackets inwards and this in turn creased the frame. The top mounts are part of the frame pressing so no way can it be adjusted on the press so each one may be the same! Next is the front fender has to be shimmed so clearance is made between the guard and fender. I machined up four spacers 4mm thick and found that it still required thicker spacers but the next issue would be that the headlight assembly would be put under strain. So i had to bend the guard into the rad so i could get some clearance. This product is for the Strada which i have but the Terra front fender does not fit without the above mod. The only other way would be to re bend the top mounts and slot the holes. There's about enough gap to allow a Piece of paper to slowly fall, not perfect but clear!
My Terra already had spacers on the rear bolts ex-factory. Yes clearance is tight but okay none the less. Had mine installed for close to six months and no rub mark at all. R & G clearly state that the guard is for a Strada so it was a gamble on my behalf.
That's interesting, do you know what the thickness of the spacers are, and you said that is was only on the rear holes?
Ordered my Radguard on Wednesday, and it was here Friday as we were working on the XR, so the XR didn't get finished, but l have the guard on my Strada.
Spacer details at the bottom of the drawing Design details if you want to make your own, which covers all of the radiator, not just the fins. Top dimension from the left (drawing) mounting hole to the rhs is 272 (not 142) It does call for a hole to be tapped into the front down plate, but this is easily done.
I installed an Engenia radiator guard. Fitted very well particularly since it came with some tapered shims for the mud guard (fender) . I didn't drill and tap the front down plate but merely drilled a 6 mm hole and fixed it with a stainless steel bolt. This required making serious modifications to a spanner so that it would fit inside the hollow frame!!!
