I wanted to remove the radiator shrouds today. I could see that the little covers with 630 on them were ment to come out to access the bolt behind, but no matter what I did I couldn't remove them completly from the shroud. I was able to unclip the bottom clip which enabled me to access the bolt behind it, but the top two clips would not come out.

Is there a trick to removing these little covers on the radiator shrouds?

Looking at the manual you need to pop the top out first.

I did the same as what you did (pulled out the bottom and left the top attached), and one of the top tabs has broken off.

Ok thanks, those top tabs look like they are ready to break off mine now pretty soon too. Hopefully next time I'll be able to remove them correctly...

I popped the bottom out and left the top in.
If you're careful, you can get an extension/socket in there without having to completely remove the cap.

I tried again today to remove the cap by removing the top tabs first!, I had no luck, all I think I achieved was to move one step closer to snapping the top tabs off.

I think I will stick to popping out the bottom tab and leaving the top tabs in.
