Hey, everyone. I got this from a friend of mine that works at KTM Motosports in Boise. I've met the owner Bob and his son Joel on a ride in Idaho before, but never had the pleasure of meeting young Will. Even if you don't want to buy a raffle ticket for a new KTM 250 SXF, (Yeah, I know...it's only a KTM...but the ticket is only $25 so you'll still be able to afford parts for it ) please keep Will and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks! ~~~~~~~~~~ Last November, local Boise rider Willie Bosserman, mechanic at the KTM shop and son of the owner Bob Bosserman, suffered a fractured neck during a relatively low speed crash while riding near Idaho City. Will was airlifted out of the woods to a local hospital where he underwent four surgeries to stabilize his spine and repair damage. He then spent several months in the hospital recovering. Will is now out of the hospital and home with his parents. Will has partial paralysis from the neck down, with limited use of his arms/hands. He is going through extensive rehabilitation and is progressing well. Many of you may already know Will as he is always at the top of his class in the IC100 every year. His dad Bob and brother Joel are also heavily involved in the Boise Ridge Riders organization and do quite a bit of work on the course itself. KTM USA has graciously donated a brand new 2008 250 SXF loaded with goodies to be raffled off. Tickets are only $25 each and all proceeds will go towards the purchase of a motorized wheelchair for Will. We appreciate all the help and support Will has received from the off-road community. Thanks to all of you! This motorcycle is on display at KTM MotoSports (6481 Overland Rd in Boise) and it will be also available for viewing at the Idaho City 100 ISDE Qualifier at the end of May. You can purchase raffle tickets in person at KTM MotoSports or online at our web site. just picked up some tickets and emailed some friends to do the same (and posted it to supermotojunkie). i do research on wheelchairs, so i can empathize for him and his family for their life changes. best wishes to them.
I wish Willi the best and hope the wheel chair is a temporary need, I cannot imagine what that must be like to be paralyzed. Thank you for letting us know how to help and keep us posted if you hear anything.
