Range is only about 75 miles (give or take). Anybody know if Acerbis will make a larger tank option? I hear they make the stock tank. Heard horror stories regarding the IMS option. RV Aqualine doesn't have one (yet) and don't know when they will.

    Help!:excuseme:

Maybe on pavement that will be your range, but in the dirt I would expect closer to 55-60 miles. I have had problems with my IMS tank also, but it has been worth it having the extra range. I will look at the Aqualine tanks when they come out, but for now, I am glad I can go 90 miles in the dirt. Ken

Maybe the 1 % of people that have had problems with their IMS tank aren't happy but there is still 99% of us that are.

    An I'm one of them.

My first IMS tank on my '05 TE510 sprung a leak on an underside seam. From what I was told, some of the early batches of white tank had problems, but w/newer tanks that was fixed.

I got the replacement tank, it was heavier build and I have had zero problems with it.
(1st tank was summer 2007, replacement tank was late fall 2007)

FYI: my 510 can get 45-47mpg on dual-sport type riding, and 32-35mpg on trail rides, but can and have dropped it to 25mpg when pushing it hard.
From what I've read lately, doesn't appear to be much difference between carb bike and EFI in mileage.
