Knowin Ray, hes out finding new trails made by the quake. Wouldnt get too worried yet. Power outages, no internet, etc..
Thanks for asking and Ok here... Cebu is close to the the epicenter over on Bohol and we did get a good long shake here, but nothing really damaged in my local area ... It really scared the girls here ... My Gf Eva pretty freaked out as many many workers in Mitsumi Co. ... Looks like Bohol got plenty ... Not sure on the deaths yet, but several of the oldest churches are destroyed ... -- It was like get some clothes on and run outside! Thats the plan I made up as it was happening .... It was shake, bigger shake, and then big big shake and I had pants on by then and ran out ... These APTs are made of weak cement and I'm surprised no real damage around me ... -- The is one road I travel alot to Camansi that has some very shaky looking cliffs overlooking the road... I'll go out later and check that area ... I'm praying for no deaths.
My wife's family in Mindanao said it shook pretty good down there, but the worst was in the central Visayas.
Looks like it hit ~dead center Bohol Island .. Carmen, Bohol... Thats a small island to hit ... damage there might be big. ... I can see that place from my front door almost and can see Bohol very well from the mountains when riding l ... I'm amazed no real damage around me ... I'm glad no tsunami was generated ... -- Mindanao is quite a ways off from Bohol
There were 3-4 ~larger shocks initially after the quake but they are getting very small feeling now ... Looks like the worst is over .. My GF came home from work(yea) and I'm thinking it safe to go in to the shower now ...
After a short ride in the rain checking for destruction, no real damage around my area here in Danao City on Cebu ... Bohol looks like it is gonna have quite a bit of damage ...There's gonna be lots of deaths over there also and that is too bad ... I certainly hope for the best for everyone on Bohol and Cebu and the other places where injuries have occurred ..
Hope everyone is ok on your end Ray. I changed the title to better reflect what this thread is about.
Thanks and looks like Cebu City had some heavy damage also and loss of life ... Cities just have so much above to fall off and hit people ...
Yep still kicking here and other than riding my Huskies, just biding my time and waiting to buy another ... I'll be in contact :0) ...
Thanks and it's scary and totally out of the blue when it happens ...I just don't sit around with my quake-running shoes on most days ... Not sure on how much shaking this area can take, but the shake we got was totally absorbed ... Today, I rode across the island and saw zero damage on Cebu ... Rebarb is a great invention and evidential, these small mountains have plenty of solid rock inside them..
