With Husqvarna selling off there bikes for dirt cheap. How will we ever be able to sell our bikes for a decent price. I purchased a 2013 in the fall of last year I put down $ 1,300 and financed the rest. Now come the end of the year I would like to switch to a 4 stroke. Like a lot of us racers do we switch out for a new bike every year. Now your dropping the prices on your bikes so low our 2013's will be worth nothing. Your burning your old customers. I realize we lose money every time we take a new bike off the showroom floor but your making a lot harder for us. Your customer base is not that big and your ruining what ever customers you have.
Im feeling the pain as well, mine is going on the clearance rack as soon as the new ride shows up, any day now.
This kinda makes me nervous... I really hope I didn't buy the wrong brand. I like my husky so far but damn it was hard selling my yz250 and that's one of the most desired 2-stroke bikes around! I don't even want to think of what selling my txc310 will be like!
If you are riding it right, there won't be anything left to sell anyway. Quit being such a puss and wear that sucker out.
Do not panic. When all the dust and BS settles I think it will all be fine. It would be foolish for KTM to not make parts available. Resale on a Husqvarna has never been perfect. Yes do not sell your used Husky at this second. But when they blow all these bikes out the value will come back up. Plus if KTM is stupid and even attempts a clone thing, there are PLENTY of guys like myself that will laugh at that and look for good used Husqvarna's and pay a fair price. Reality check. You didn't buy your Husky for resale value. You bought it because it wasn't Orange. Was competitively priced to begin with. Was Semi Exotic without the quirks! And you obviously were not brainwashed with Orange Kool Aid! Relax. Ride it. Enjoy it. Rail on it. Hold your chin up!!! It will get better Oh yea. And what Mike-Ak says
I've been waiting almost a month for a new powervalve shaft that the dealer broke..This bike has been giving me little problems since the day i bought it,,but everyone assures me its a great bike,,we'll see im not giving up on it just yet..
If anyone buys a piece of powersports equipment for resale value, you have invested improperly. Ride it any enjoy it! That being said, I hope my Ducati 1198S holds it value when I sell it next summer :P
My re-sale value has been rubbed off on the sand. I'm gonna use up ALL of this bike. And the NEXT one!
You always loose money on new bikes or cars don;t look at this way, ride and enjoy the thing thats why you bought it. The latest is not always that much better to an older well set up model.
Yes, common sense in that. But when a company blows its new stock out the door for ridiculous prices it hurts the market and makes me question if the company deserves my dollars for my next purchase. Having a sale is one thing, cutting the price like they did is very hard to stomach as an existing owner. I can assure you my latest is much, much better then my well set up 449 and it actually ran right out of the box.
