How come Husky it wasting time on concept bikes when the current 250/300's are getting out dated. Loyal customers want new bikes, not the same bike for the last 10 years. And they are building these for "concept"? It's just stupid.

Funky looking. And it has that Cannondale Leftyesque fork going on. I bet it would be so much fun to rip around town.
Remember pretty much everything in production started as some sort of a concept!

I'd rather stick with 10 years old than that hideous contraption.

This is what happens when you have just too much money and time ...

I gotta feel the thing I'm riding and I'm not sure that thing has the feeling I'm looking for ...

Husky is keeping their new 250/300/350 whatever bike's very under wraps. I fully expect to be blown away by the new 250 about this time next year. I also expect to be customer uno at Bill's for that bike. Unless they make a 175-200 with all the same rumor'd goodies. It is hard for me to fathom a bike being better than my 165 but am fully prepared to enjoy better when it happens.

IT is a concept bike to get people talking and get press. It did that. They all spend money to build these silly things to talk about.

If they do finally update the 2ts, I really hope for Husky's sake they really pull one out of the hat..... Bought a 2012 GG250 Estart. Honestly, there isn't a bike on the market that comes close to what GG has come up with on their 12's & certainly not for the prices GG is asking. I have ridden a lot of different bikes, but I have never rode a bike that does everything so well, so easily & especially straight out of the box. As one buddy put it- "that bike makes the trail feel like you're riding on carpet, I wish I hadn't rode it, I really liked my own bike(late model KTM 200) but now I know how bad my bike really is compared to the new GGs" Another buddy(after a ride on it)- "Ridiculous! how can they make a bike that is so easy to ride? Amazing!" This has been a common theme for 8 guys that have ridden my bike.
Still, for '13, GG has fixed almost all of the minor issues that cropped up on the 12's. This bike is a big steps ahead of even their 10's & 11's & light years from their 06-08 bikes
I've been a Husky rider since 07. I hope Husky comes up with something at least comparable. This GG is the first bike that I don't really feel like I need a Rekluse(I'm spoiled that way;) ), nor any suspension mods. The motor/clutch/trans combo is amazing to me & I haven't even done any serious jetting to it yet. The handling is beyond compare.
I haven't rode a WB 165, but have rode several 125/144s & liked them at the time. I'm sure the WB165 is a great engine package, but it needs the new GG chassis/suspension. Trust me.
If you like your current bike, do not ride any of the '12 or '13 Gassers. You won't look at your own bike in a good way after that. My TXC 310 is(was) a great bike, but I fear it's going to get pretty lonely in the garage.....
Regardless of what husky does, The next few years should see another positive leap in dirtbike tech filtering down to us common folk.

I'm totally opposite on this. Although the handling of the 12 GG felt similar to the Xlight Huskys, the power felt identical to the WR300...to me anyway. The 12 I rode had all sorts of add ons, rekluse, suspension etc. Nothing could correct the ergonomics for me, and I was ready to get back on my outdated Husky once I pulled back into parking. I will agree that it is a HUGE improvement over the older GG bikes. No way would I trade my Husky 300 on a GG. Yes, I rode it in the woods and trails that I normally ride my Husky on.

My daughter (much shorter than me) loved the 12 GG with the rekluse. She is 5'4", about the same size as the owner of the bike and could handle it nicely.

You'd have been better off to have rode a stock '12 GG, as it would have given you a better idea of how good they really are. Once a bike has been changed as much as you mention, it just won't fit other riders& doesn't give you a truly valid idea of the bike.
If he only 5'4"-ish, I suspect the GG owner may have had his bike lowered? Else, I hope the owner of that bike only changed springs in his suspension(to suit his weight), else he wasted his money as the Marz PFP 48's are world class out of the box. They are a bit sensitive to when air builds up(although it takes a few hours of riding)- a quick bleed & your back to normal. Too bad it had a Rekluse on it as you didn't get the opportunity to feel how good the stocker works. The WR cable clutch is a ridiculous joke in comparison- Sorry, but it is.. Tall guys riding bikes set up for short guys are likely to have issues with the ergos.

Just having the rekluse was a turn off for me, besides I love my cable! Makes me smile when someone else grabs the clutch on my bike and says "Holy @h!t how do you ride this thing without getting armpump?".

He had some zokes specialist work on his forks and I think his had the ohlins shock. It wasn't lowered, he just one legs it but is taller than 5'4". He's just a lot shorter than me at 73".

I had an older GasGas and thought it was a good bike but I added high bars, low and back pegs a +22 shifter tip and it still felt like a mini bike compared to my WR250 Husky. If I was 5'7" I would have never sold it but I'm 6'6". My bone stock 05 YZ125 with no mods including the low bars fits me better than my modified GasGas. IMO if you're tall you are never going to get there on a GasGas. That being said I have not ridden the 2012 with the new frame and I'm told it's a little better but I was told that by a salesman not a tall rider.

One of my buddies is 6'2" & he fit fine on the bike, just needs the bars up & forward a bit, which is easy to do. It's a bit bigger than the 11's, but still handles like a smaller bike, with no deflection & the most precise steering I've ever encountered.
Even with the larger chassis (for larger riders), Husky still needs to get something figured out on the geometry and suspension, as the new GG has set a new standard.
