As most of us know, the rear brake cleat is small and tucked in close to the frame. That bad combo can make for a few heart stopping moments when you need rear brake ASAP... Anyway, I really don't want to heat or bend the brake lever/arm. I'm sure someone makes a larger cleat that will stick out an extra 3/8". Does anyone have some experience with this issue?

I did some web searching and it sure looks like the cleat off a 2005 YZ250 will work. The design is the same based on how it attaches to the lever. It may need some garage mods to work. Not sure it will stick out any further. I'll call the Zip Ty guys on Monday for their opinion.
