Hello members I have a 2011 630 TE and I noticed that the brake light doesn't come on when brake is depressed, front or rear brake. To me it seems like the brake light is always on, it is very bright. What would be a good place to start to look at. Thanks for any help. Bill
Discard this post, I found it was a loose micro switch on the front brake lever! Man this is an awesome forum for information
Yeah, the 630 brake light is very bright just with the running light, and the brake light is ridiculous compared to most dual sports / motards. (And is there such a thing as a FRONT brake light?)
Seems I have the same problem. Brake light is always on. But could not find any microswitch at the brake lever. However, I disconnected the front sending unit and the light was still always on. The sensor from th rear brake seems to sit right on top of the brembo brake piston. Maybe that is the culprit. If so - how can that be disconnected? Or are there any other potential sources that could cause this?
Been a few years with no action on this thread, but I'll try. I just noticed my 2011 630 rear brake light appears to be always on (judging by brightness), or never off (if there is more on tap). Anyone learn anythng about this? Bike is low mileage (4K now). Wasn't sold new until 2014, then sat mostly until I bought it in 2018 or 19 with 600 miles on it.
