    Hi all,

I need some help on my '92 WXC 360 forks

After tearing down my forks and replacing the seals all seemed to go back together well, but on the right leg the top clicker now just turns and clicks but does not make any adjustment. I pulled it apart and all seems ok with the rod so I can't figure out what I am missing. I don't really understand how the adjustment works, I assume the rod is turning something internally changing the holes for oil flow, but I am not sure what creates the min and max stop points or why it seems to click but make no adjustment.

Seems to me like it is not turning something down in the tube, but I can' figure out why not. Anyone have the fork supliment manual or experience with these forks that may be able to shed some light on what Inmay be missing?

    Thanks

The only forks I have worked with that had the long, single rod that changed clickers, was somewhat trivial ...The rod end (inside the fork) simply was bent around on the actual valve clicker-ADJ and could strip out very easily ...

Maybe check the end of the rod to ensure it is actually contacting and moving the clicker-mechanism and not stripped over it.

Next, might be the valve itself ... You might have to do some pics here ...

I have a feeling it is stripped down at the valve as you mentioned. The top of the rod looks good where it connects to the cap and clicker adjuster but I don't know what the bottom looks like down in the tube at what I assume is a valve. The rod itself looks ok st the bottom, but the valve could have an issue, I am just not sure how the rod connects or what it actually turns down in the tube.

I was hoping to not have to tear it all down again but I think that will be the next step since I think that valve end probably controls the 'stops' for the min/max adjustment. I'll take pics as I tear it down just in case.

Oh and if anyone has the top fork caps with good clickers in them that they want to sell, I would be interested in buying them. The one tube in particlur has a pretty hashed out adjustment slot.

No, it's prob very simple. Do a search on google. It happens to wp forks. My 45mm zokes had the same trouble. It was a five minute fix when I took it to my suspension guy. I believe you just have to take off the cap, turn the rebound adjuster all the way out, then re install. The clicker just tightens or loosens preload on the valve by pushing on the rod. Rod doesn't turn. You prob didn't back off the rebound when you took forks apart.

So that rod is just putting pressure on the valve as the clicker pushes the rod down or pulls it up eh. That does make sense, but what stops the clicker adjuster for min and max? Mine just keeps turning, which as I type this makes me wonder if my clicker is stripped out or something.

I will for sure look close at my clicker/ fork cap before I tear it down again
