I'm installing the clutch and went to do the step where you put the clutch push rod in. And with the rekluse end on it, it sits up higher. The clutch rod looks like it would need to be cut down. The pressure plat with the balls it it will not come close to sitting down on the fiber clutch plate. Can anyone with an older 250 or 450 tell me there push rod lenght? Here are some pictures of the rod alone then with the stock end and the last one with the Rekluse end. Thanks Jeff

I was able to get it. I did not have things lined up right. Everything worked fine. I stacked the gaskets that were supplied in the kit for the clutch cover. I drove it around the yard and it works good. It does not engauge soon enough for me but i'm going to break it in later today and then ajust it from there.

They sure are a nice upgrade once they're set up. Glad you got it sorted out. Does yours make the subtle "squealing" sound as it engages? Apparently some do and some don't, mine always has and it always gets peoples attention. Completely normal I am told.

Good to hear you got it on! Do you have any clearance issues with your rear brake pedal due to the deeper cover, or do you just have to lower your lever to clear? I'm on the fence, but REALLY want to pull the trigger on one too...

You do not need to buy anything to make this work on the 310. They give you two thick gaskets for spacing the clutch cover and the brake lever clears. I used the allen bolts that held the old clutch on for the clutch cover with the double gaskets. That made it nice not to have to buy longer bolts.

I forgot to do there break in and I ended up just taking it for a ride and rining it out in the woods. I had zero noise from the clutch. I ended up with around .030 of an inch on the clutch pack. I would make sure you have between .030 to .038 of clearence. What wave spring in in yours?

I put in the recommended wave spring-think it's the lower RPM one. If you want it to engage quicker use less tungsten balls and more steel ones as well. lot of tuneability, just takes time. I want an EFM auto clutch for my WR 250 as well.

I got an 07 450 cover today and it is 10mm deeper than a stock 310 cover. I was able to remove all of the gaskets. And use just the cover.

Just got my kit and not comfortable with the mounting of the basket. Wondered if yours looked anything like this, and if you went with it without any issue. Basically, if I don't use the spacer, the splines on the shaft extend to high to get a TIGHT fit when you put the lock washer & nut on. See pic. 2, it shows the height difference. The next few pics just show the buildup to get to the final pic 5 which doesn't allow the nut to thread on more than a couple turns before it's tight. Did you have a similar situation? Should I have the spacer machined down a bit to allow for more threads to catch the nut? Sure it won't go anywhere once torqued down and the lock washer tabs are bent, but... Thought I better get some feedback! Thanks!!

Unfortunatly I got it used, but I put it in the classifieds. If anyone has a Z-start and wants to trade up to the Z-Start Pro, I'm game... Least there's no question now as to why the Pro model doesn't work on the 310!

Did you use the OEM thrust washer (usually stuck to the bottom of the OEM Center Clutch Hub)? It needs to be used so that the splines don't stick up and I don't think you need that spacer because of that. The Pro model fit perfectly in my 2009 TXC 250...I just needed that deeper clutch cover.

I was told it would not work by rekluse. I have not personally tried it. If it worked on a 2009 TXC it might work on the TE 310. It's tiral and error don't give up. I hope it works for you. Let us know if it works. Jeff

Yeah, I had the OEM thrush washer on there. Unfortunatly, picture No. 2 was the result. Thought about having the spacer machined down but I think I'll wait till Rekluse releases the right kit for my bike. They claim it's coming....

ive always wanted to try the rekluse i have a cple ?"s do you lose the engine braking when you left off the throttle and do you shift at all with this
  18. hamiltonuh60 Husqvarna

Yes you still have to shift, but instead of pulling in a clutch lever to disengage the clutch, you just close the throttle. Yes you lose engine braking when you close the throttle since it is just like pulling the clutch in. I like it also because you won't stall the bike. I don't have one installed on my Husky yet, it was a CRF250R. I would think that they all operate the same. Hope this helps.

I talked to rekluse after I installed mine an told them it worked and the only thing I needed was a 450 clutch cover. They will not list it on there site for the 310 because of the oil site glass clamp. See, I could not use the clamp that helps keep the site glass in place with the taller cover. Why they can't come with one is beyond me. It must be a sales thing.
