250-500cc Rekluse question

Hello I've got a question about the the rekluse exp clutch and which bikes it will work on. I have a 1994 wxe 250 and would like to put one of these in it a friend has a 2004 wr 250 which the clutch is available for. Now my question is would this work on m bike, the clutch plates are the same but is that where the similarities stop between the bikes? I have contacted rekluse with no luck of a good answer other than the throw out rod and throw could be different along with the stack height which would cause it not to work. Has anybody done this or know enough to help me out?
