My 07 SM610 is in the shop and the diagnosis for the intermittent noise around 1900rpm is a failing auto decompression mechanism. Because the part is backordered and who knows when it'll get here from Europe, I'm wondering if anyone here has removed theirs and run without it? I know some other bikes (Japanese) can start and run fine without em.
