I rode the RenfroValley,KY AMA dualsport event April 25, and 26th. It was my first organized ride. I just started riding dirt bikes again in October after a 30 year layoff. I'm from the Dayton, Ohio area, and besides the Husky I also own a V-Strom. It was fantastic. Well organized, great trails, just a really good time. The weather was sunny and in the mid 80's both days. I had a pinch flat on Saturday, but that was the only issue I had with my 2004 TE-450. I only counted 4 other Huskys there besides Scott Summer's. There were lots of orange bikes there. I will be looking for more dualsport rides to attend this year. I'm hooked!
Welcome back to dirt biking. Sounds like you had a great time, Ohio has some awesome riding territory and the AMA sanctioned dual sport ride always come off great. BTW welcome to the Cafe I"m sure you going to find plenty of comradery here.
Sounds like a blast! I was considering going down for that run but surgery complications had me laid up Drop me a line jetrock as I'm in C-bus and we have a couple of Husky riders here, there also a group of us that go out and terrorize the country side from time to time. Zanesville trail riders has some great stuff going on. cheers, Mike
Hi, jetjock! Welcome to CafeHusky Looks like you've got some great terrain to ride in! So, is it just me or does that guy in the camo have a broken leg? WoodsChick
That's me in the camo and that photo does kinda make my leg look broken or at least badly bent. But, it's not. That was right after the river crossing, and although I got across without too much trouble, I filled both boots when I waded back in to help a guy who had gone under. In that photo, I was trying to drain the water out of my boots. I quickly learned that using that method is a good way to turn Monkey Butt Powder into Monkey Butt Paste!
