Was told to stay away from replacing my oem piston in my 2010 wr 125 with a certain brand. That being said, can i please get some info from those in the know on what replacement kit to go with?

I was told to stay oem......

Thanks and sorry if this is a question that is easily answered in another topic somewhere else within the forum

I mainly use Vertex, ProX and Mitaka Pistons, barely used Wössner or Wiseco.

But since a few years i ve got loads of problems with ProX Pistons cracking, pins missing and so on...

But maybe its only me and all my friends...

    (same luck with hotrods crankshafts...)

Mitaka and wossnor here both very good, love the look of namura think thats right but they dont do one for my bike, perhaps sling it in a yz when i get one.

I've run about 60 Wiseco's over the years, never had an issue.

my 125 had oem, pro x, then vertex for 180 hours, now mitaka for 30 odd, running very very well if that's the one you heard to avoid, namura I can't speak for, just heard bad things about them hence choosing mitaka

It really seems like Mitaka is a "UK thing" i came across them when i used to live over there.
Never seen them here in Germany unless i ordered a bulk of them for my bikes.

I also used their Conrod Kits and i highly recommend them- good Quality parts for a very low price !
