Gday all, Just picked up a '10 RM85sw in mint condition for my 10 yr old( Time to step up from a JR80). Whats the ride height on a 85, I know the 95mm-105mm for full size bikes but unsure of the 85's. Mainly forestry trails and lookin at enduro,pony express next year.. Cheers, jaxsplatt
We ran with 75mm on my son's RM85....check out the Powerband Racing website, Billy is one of the best here in the states on setting up the mini's. If your son likes to hit the mx tracks, consider raising the forks in the clamps about an inch - it lessens the strain on the frame. Doesn't really impact the handling, the kids adapt fast. Hope this help.
Thanks p3ga... Young fella hit up the trails today and loved the bike. It's settup for MX with pro tapers so sits up very tall ( good aggresive ridein) but had trouble a few times when we had to stop, but he will get used to it the more we ride.. I Mite drop from 75 down to 60 -65 to see if it rides a bit better. Clicker adjustment for the bush as it's set pretty firm.. Oh well more fun times ahead
