Help me figure this out. I like the idea of almost anything that has reflective qualities that make us more visible at night but I'm not sure about the whole rim strip tape thing. Lets have some opinions but if you don't like them don't get to derogatory, remember that there might be people around here that are running them.
There is of course always the stealth option of using black reflective tape on black wheels so it only shows up when hit with headlights.

    Or silver on silver rims….
I think the stealth option will defintly look better then the front forks reflective rectangles, don’t you?

I like them, there’s a good chance I’ll get them one day regardless of what anyone else think of them, but that’s just me…..:busted:

I remember someone on here say'n...
If it reflects light and make you more visible at night...this is good.

If it protects your rims when changing tires...this is good.

If it's good look'n and add character to your ride...well this is good too.:D

Protecting the rims is another good reason to have them, particularly since mine are powder coated.

There was a guy on ADV that literally coated his bike with sheets of that sticky stuff that looks normal during the day and then lights up really bright when light hits it. It was ho-hum during the day and "scorch the retinas" at night. I was going through a bit of anxiety about getting chewed up on the Bay Bridge at the time (it's called the Meatgrinder by the local riders) and seriously considered something similar.

    I say go for it!

If it adds visibility at night i can't see how it would be a bad thing. Get them.

Let's just be honest here Rajo, you need some red on those black wheels of yours. Do it.

Well if I do go with the rim strips they will either be Ducati red or a nice stealthy black. You may be right though I might need something to break up all the black on the wheels.

I have them on my bike.

Though that is how it came when I got it.

I have bought some new decals that I am thinking about replacing them with.

It doesn't look to bad the red strips on the black rims.
