Been using this dinosaur oil in all my bikes since 2003, with or without a Rekluse and have had very good results. Ready for the one hour oil change and only have the 15-40.

Yikes, a little on the heavy side. Better to pick up some T6.

I would steer away from rotella t6 oil on the these bikes. I have a 2015 fe501s which had the first oil change with rotella t6. Immediately after my clutch started slipping. Come to find out that these clutches are like the rekluse clutches. Apparently the rekluse and ktm clutches do not like 'energy saver' oils.

Ive been using rotella triple t instead on the fe501s and tc2t0...both 2015 models.

My 2013 yzf-r1 and wr250r bikes have no problems with rotella t6 tho.

hmmm, the rotella white jug and t6 blue jug both carry the jaso-ma rating, does the triple t carry that as well?

Either one. We have been racing these engines since 2014 and have never slipped a clutch on M1 0W40, T6 or Torco SR5. We abuse these engines harder and longer than anyone else I know. These clutches are not Recluse type, they are Mono-spring DDS similar to Husqvarna 449s. If you slipped a DDS clutch on T6, I recommend you remove and inspect your plates for mechanical failure.

I've been running the Mobil 1 0w40 since the bikes first oil change at 56.6 miles of break in and installed a PC S/S filter also, on my 15' FE 501 and have changed the oil again since at about 8 hours to the same thing - Mobil 1 0w40.

Great results so far and have ran it hard ever since and was really never easy on it to begin with.

I didn't even start it, much less ride it with the stock exhaust system or installing a pile of other parts after uncrating it from Bills MC Plus. They installed the Euro Map and it had .02 tenths of a mile on it when it arrived and it got stripped to do the Full Exhaust etc.

Its not like the oil that came in it new was some special formula break in oil so out it came. In went the Mobil 1 0w40 full synthetic right away and that's what I will continue to run.

There are more than one M1 0W40.
I saw 'regular' and 'European Car Formula'.
Is there a specific type y'all are running?

The European Formula is what most run, but many people have used both. I've used Shell Helix 5w40 as well which is Shell's version of 0w40.

I have the European Formula in the 250 and will order a SS filter. When I pulled the Rotella there was very little shavings on the magnet.

I do run the European car formula and I get it at Walmart. Its says right on the label approved for most "Mercedes Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, Porsche".

It costs a few bucks more here where I'm at compared to the shelf price at Walmarts in California or probably most any other States too, even when it's on sale. That's because when your "New" local Super Walmart is deliberately built just a 150 yards North of The Border at the US / Mexico Port Of Entry and there is a foot path leading to the place. Like mine is here in Douglas, AZ. We have a much higher shoplifting rate here, so consequently the local honest consumer pays for those losses.

Everything costs just a little more here than if I drive to the next big Walmart 45 miles away. They have a much lower shoplifting rate as they are about 20 miles North of the Border.

Its just one of those things that makes you say "HUH"! Every time I go there.

The only way to understand why we have the higher prices is by standing in the check out lines and getting your feet ran over and bashed into by shopping carts. People from the families cutting into the lines with the items they forgot in the middle of checking out, while their carts are stuffed to the brim in the "Express 25 items or less line". Then the removal or cash payment on all the items not allowed on there Welfare WICS cards.

It's truly absolute total mayhem. I really feel sorry for the people working there. For them, it's sort of like trying to herd cattle out the front door with nothing but a spinning rack full of plastic bags.

If you pay close attention, you get to watch the little kids stuffing their pockets full of snacks and all the other goodies they (Walmart) for some reason locate right at the check out lines? Isn't that for impulse buying? Not here, it's Impulse Stealing! Then you watch their parents allowing them to get away with it you would say "Huh" too.

I'll still keep buying my Mobil 1 at my local Walmart. As long as the label is still printed in English.
