Not sure how all this is gonna turn out and it is a little early but this currently seems to be our 450 studs for MXdN... There could only 2 450 riders and 1 250 rider per country in the past ... Is this still the case with the Open class changes? I'm happy with any of these riders representing the USA along with a 250cc guy added.
I read that to but it seems our top guys are going . I think it was about people switching teams and preparing for the Monster Energy Cup on the new bikes. They didn't want to deal with this. So Barcia may have been one of the picks although I don't see why
Well ain't that fancy ... Certainly hope these guys aren't getting as important as football, basketball players are now. Leave' em behind ... Send someone who wants to go represent our country ... I'd rather lose with someone trying their best to win than with a crybaby who wants a bigger bottle... Maybe AS29 wants to go? His racing has been a little better this yr...
Hit it on the head ray,Im sure there are racers that would sell a body part to rep their country, you would think it would be a honor!
Here are our riders (USA) and I wish them the best of luck ... ESP Martin as he is the rookie of the crowd ... http://www.motoxaddicts.com/2014/08/09/dungey-tomac-and-martin-selected-for-team-usa-at-2014-mxon/ “If you look at the way Ryan, Eli and Jeremy are riding at the moment, we should be back in the hunt for a victory,” said DeCoster, who currently manages the Red Bull/KTM AMA Motocross and Supercross teams, and himself competed in numerous FIM Motocross of Nations in the 1960s and ’70s. “The track we will be racing at suits our style, and all the riders are talented and on good equipment. Also, all of these riders want to be here, and compete for their country. That’s what we want in a team.”
interesting read from the euro angle here... http://issuu.com/mxlarge/docs/july_issue_2014_d57ac24b5b39db/51?e=6501111/8619720
Strong team...so is Roczen riding for the Germans? If so, Tomac just has to get near him to rattle his head !!
It is said that Roczen may not race due to his team switch to RCH Suzuki. He will have little time to adjust to the new team, mechanic, and get the bike dialed in. But he DOES want to race regardless so I guess we'll see.
Maaan, that's bunk! Gotta have all the best there or it isn't as fun. Ok, still kind of fun, but not as fun.
Between Kroc not going, and the French not sending their two best IMO riders in C Pourcel and M Musquin, we will have an easier go at it and definitely have the best team overall. Their loss.
Right, I think that leaves Italy and King Cairoli to wrestle with. Granted, he'll be on a 250.....but he'll be King Cairoli on a 250.
And Herlings, if he can heal up in time. That's going to be close though, he shouldn't jepordise his health, next season, etc. by coming back too soon. There are many other riders who seem to elevate their game for the MXDN. Remember Todd Waters and Ken DeDyker two years ago?! If the French had sent CP and MM along with Gautier Paulin, I'd be nervous. But still, I don't see any other team having a three-man powerhouse like we do. I'll put it out there that I predict the Chaimberlin Trophy will be returning home with us !!
Ya, I was thinking about big Ken De Dyker, but w/out a strong supporting cast I'm not so sure. He could wear down. He's as big as a tight end. Paulin and maybe Frossard could push but France's chances look dim (the two best riders are here in the U.S. now). There are a lot who could be pests for sure. That's one of the many beauties of this sport. On any day a kid can roll up to the pits in his pick-up, stroll down to the starting line, gas it and beat the best the world has to offer. It's a beautiful thing - you just NEVER know. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWD9SS9pjqA
