  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

If you take them at their word, they will fit 08-10. But not the 2010 TE, TC, or TXC 250.

And a decent guess that it will also be EFI 610's.

ETA we should write and tell them we want the shrouds to retrofit so we'd like the inserts.

Actually, I'm OK with my tank. 3.0 and over 100 mi but these will definitely fill a need on the 450 and 510's and 610's.

sweet i look forward to it! if it looks good and is reasonable priced i will buy one! i don't like the ims tank at all, and theres another company that makes a carbon fiber tank that looks good but its $1200.00 and thats way to much for an extra gallon! so we will all wait and see!

LOL, Yep The USA, Liberia and Myanmar - leading the world in, ummm, antiquated measurement. LOL.
 
US gallon

I do remember using liters here in the US., when the price of gas went over $1.00 per gallon. All the pumps maxed out at $1 per gallon so when the price went over they set it up to pump liters which came out to something like .28 cents a liter. Boy have times changed. I guess I'm really showing my age now. I think that was about 1980.

Give them time, (the rest of the world) they will be back, I think bell bottoms and tie dye are just now in fashion, they run about 30 years behind us.:D

I was just about to order a Rotopax, maybe I'll hold off a bit now and see what the tank looks like. This is great news
 
Good news, for sure. I emailed them asking about nut inserts for the stock shrouds. Hopefully, that is what is in the cards.
 
I remember seeing distance still listed in miles while in Scotland during early 90's. Are they still on it? Looks like the UK does according to Wiki.

Back to the tank stuff, how long till someone complains they're too big, lol
 
Fantastic, just saved me 15000 USD on mold an manufacturing costs for my tank design LOL

QUESTION IS... WILL IT FIT THE TXC????
