Got row 24A,pretty much the only good thing about racing AA in the ECEA with so many entries-->early row!! I thought the course was much better than last weekend as far as mud ruts in the forests, typical sandy lane enduro, some fast fire roads, plenty of tight tight sections,I rode with marty griff , mark b. and NY two guys who also hauled the mail, andrew delong kept passing us in almost every section as he was on fire,Im not sure if he won the event though as we left before the results were final, but he had a 16,beating rich L. on emergency seconds and the next few guys had 22s,saw a lot of NETRA riders there, must be a lot of guys itching to ride this year,I rode my WR144 and it was probably the best bike choice in the tight stuff, with the auto clutch you just turned and didnt need to worry about stalling in the tight stuff or boiling over in the real tight stuff as a lot of guys were spitting coolant out everywhere, even some of the two strokes, had plenty of power in the open sections, as usual I missed two flips by two seconds, but somehow ended up with a 19 on my card. I know marty dropped 25 and I did put a minute on him when he missed a flip due to him trying to unstuck a branch in his wheel, but he beat me through all the other sections, great race and tons of people everywhere spectating and cheering you on. over 400 entries as well,if you bailed because of weather, you should have came it was a great ride with plenty to offer for everyone,Im pretty sure I must have jumped out of bed four or five times dreaming about bashing off of the trees Curly Fern next weekend heres a short video of the last section from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W4q3pJpix4
You know it must have been a good day if you had the Body Jimmies, those are the best re-living the race as you try to sleep. Excellent Video and that guy was rolling with some good lines. We need to see a helmet cam of you fury.
The body jimmies--so that's what it's called when I find myself upshifting just as I drift off to sleep after an enduro!
lol- whacked the wall once yanking my bike out from being stick in something in my sleep. good report. i wish we had stuff like that where i am.
