Scott has done worlds of good for Husqvarna. Then I read the rumor on http://www.offroadchampions.com/ Whats up with that?
Wonder what that is about. Too bad as he is a legend. On a brighter note if they pick up Whibley and/or Jarrett lots of podium finishes are in the future for the brand. Hopefully this is a sign BMW is serious about funding.
HSQ/BMW is serious, there is just some bad blood between SS and a couple of individuals at BMW unfortunately due to relations at the beginnning of the season, i posted more detail on TT earlier today.
Therefore I am like Scott Summers. Only smaller, in worse shape, slower, not as smart or good looking and can't lift both ends of my bike at once. David, it's been a while, time to get the gang back together and terrorize Belfair again. With any luck Kawd dude will be there circling the parking lot on 2 wheels.
I've met Scott on two occasions and both times came away thinking "what a GREAT guy!" The first time I met him, he gave me his cell phone #. I called him last night to ask him about this, but unfortunately, he didn't pick up. Big corporations never cease to amaze me in how stupid they can be.
Couldnt agree with you more. From here in California all that mattered was that Scott Summers and all the greatness that meant, had put his prestige behind the Husky name. The results, oddly enough, where secondary to the simple fact that Summers was behind Husky. Kearney and Summers kicking butt was great to see, but few riders here in Cali follow the minuteia of each GNCC race. Most riders just knew--Husky must be for real, Summers is racing them. [Rant] Yeah maybe Jarrett or whoever will get some podiums on Husky--but it wont matter. The die is cast. BMW/Husky hired Summers, jerked him around, and then cut him off. A big black eye for Husky. In a year full of BMW/Husky screw ups. Thanks BMW for mucking it up yet again. I predict BMW completely blows it, and sells Husky in 4-6 years. Those Shercos are looking better and better. Large corporate dirt bike companies suck. [/Rant] .
Then why didn't you just start a "I love Kelly" thread? I was at the L.L. GNCC and talked to Scott about the 510 and a few weeks later I went and bought one based on his rep. and what he told me there.
...because it's more fun to poke fun at you and this thread. I'm just being a smart@$$! Anyway, I started riding less than 2 years ago and I never heard of Scott before I got a Husky. My point is that I see a lot of individuals buying Husqvarna's because they make great bikes that people love. That's why I did. David
New info on Scott Got some insider info on Scott's deal and although I am not at liberty to disclose everything I don't think Scott got the shaft, he signed a deal, he is doing what he needs to and has choices. Although I don't think it ended up the ideal situation he hoped for I also don't think it was one sided. Scott's a great guy, loved by many and will do fine whatever he chooses.
